You can’t imagine the Balkan region, which Albania is part of , without its traditional drink ‘Rakia’.
Rakia in Albania mostly comes from grapes but there are also other variety of raki like raki made from plums, blackberry among others.
Rakia is homemade by many locals especially in the south region of Albania which is famous for the production of its grape raki. The north region are specialized in the making of plum raki.
Wine has been produced in Albania since at least Illyrian times, enjoy the variety of wine. Another alcoholic drink in Albania is ‘cognac’ with the local brand ‘Skanderbeg’ being the most popular and successful cognac drink.
