What To Expect
Full Itinerary and details:
Day 1: Tirana
Transfer Airport-Hotel in center, dinner at Old Bazaar or other traditional restaurant.
Day 2: Tirana/Permet/Thermal Baths 256 km
Hotel pickup, transfer to Permet, our
destination for today, considered the greenest and cleanest town in
Albania, also known as the ‘City of Roses’ and there is a saying for the city
which says (except for the sea, we have everything else). This small town
is famous for its folk music, literature personalities and of course its
cuisine, most notably sweets called ‘Gliko’ which are made from every
home in town. There are also some factories that produce and sell different
kinds of ‘Gliko’. This area produces a very good quality of wine and
Albanian Raki.
Accommodation in a hotel in the center of the city, visit and climb the stairs
of City Stone to have a 360 angle view of the city panorama and its
surroundings.
Benja Baths-Some 15 minutes from the center lie the Thermal Baths of
Benja, our next stop. A natural hot thermal spring which with the
combination of the stone bridge ‘Ura e Katoit’ and spectacular
mountainous view are very difficult to resist. Baths of Benja have curative
benefits too from treating arthritic, rheumatism, skin problems, stomach
problems, etc , there are some different baths each of them better for a
specific curative purpose.
(Recommended to take bath clothes and a towel for when in Benja Baths)
Special Dinner with traditional cuisine in one of the best city taverns ,
“Familiar Restaurant”.
Day 2 & 3: Permet/Gjirokaster/Saranda/Butrint 133 km
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the stone city of Gjirokastra known as the
“museum city” of Albania. The streets of the old bazaar are made of stone
and the old houses form a magnificent scenery, time for a coffee and some
photos in the old market.Visit of “Argjiro Castle”. Transfer to Saranda with
a stop at the famous “Blue Eye”. Arrival in Saranda, accommodation in the hotel, (Ksamil accommodation possible). Visit Butrint in one of the most
special experiences you can get in our country, an UNESCO world
heritage site Butrint retains Greek ruins, imposing Roman Monuments, an
early Christian Church and also an Ottoman fort, this antique city has been
inhabited almost continuously and has played an important role in
Peloponnesian War. Very near Ali Pasha Castle is waiting for us, it is
accessible by boat. After our cultural and historic tour of the day we will
have dinner at Lekursi Castle with Panoramic View of Saranda.
Visit Ksamil beaches and free time to enjoy the sun in this beautiful destiantion.
Day 4: Saranda/Albanian Riviera/Vlore/Tirana 260 Km
Breakfast at the hotel, Transfer toward Vlora taking the road of Albanian
Riviera between mountains and the sea. The Albanian Riviera is an
amazing travel destination, home to gorgeous beaches,coastal towns, old
villages, castles, canyons, UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The riviera
stretches from Saranda to Dhermi and the beaches along the way are
some of the most beautiful in Europe and beyond. These beaches make it
an enticing destination. Stop at the “Porto Palermo Castle” , a special
destination along the way.
Stop for a panoramic view in Llogara as we enjoy the famous ‘yogurt with
honey and walnuts’ and transfer to Vlora,free time for walks in
Lungomare. Prepare to leave for Tirana, arrival in Tirana and hotel accomodation.
Day 6 . City tour + TIA
