What To Expect
Itinerary:
Day 1: TIA – Hotel in Tirana
Transfer from Airport to 4* Hotel in Tirana, accommodation. Traditional dinner with typical Albanian dishes.
Overnight in Tirana
Day 2 Tirana- Koman Lake – Valbona
Early transfer to Koman tunnel and take the ferry towards Fierze, enjoy Komani Lake for around 2 hours in this beautiful scenery where mountains and water meet together. Transfer to Valbona, stop at Old Mill for photos.
Overnight in Valbona
Highlights: Komani Lake, Valbona, Bajram Curri.
Day 3 Valbona – hiking Rosni Pass
Breakfast, prepare the picnic and we start the hike towards Rosni mountain which has a height of 2524m, our destination is Rosni Pass or the neck which lies a few hundred metters lower. Stop on the way at a shepherd hut to consume a drink.
The views from the track to Rosni mountain are considered the best in Albanian Alps or accursed mountains, it has clear view of Albania and Montenegro nature.
Moderate to medium difficulty.
Overnight in Valbona
Highlights: Hiking to Rosni mountain, accursed mountains, panoramic view of Montenegro and Albania, offroad.
Day 4 Valbona – Theth hiking
Breakfast, another hiking day, this time it is the famous route from Valbona to Theth.
Moderate difficulty, stops along the way at ecco coffee bars. Arrival in Theth, optional visit to the Blue Eye. Traditional dinner.
Overnight in Theth
Hightlights: Valbona – Theth hiking, Blue Eye Theth, Church Theth, offroad.
Day 5 Theth – Shkoder – Bike tour
Breakfast with typical products of North Albania, transfer to Shkoder (2hours).
Bike tour for around 3 hours to explore the Shkodra Lake, Shiroka + more. Witness the bunkers along the way which continue to remind us of communism dictature.
Highlights: Bike Tour in Shkoder, Shkodra Lake, traditional dishes.
Day 6 Shkoder – Ohrid Lake – Bike tour
From the biggest lake of Shkodra we continue our tour to the deepest lake which is Ohrid.
Once nearing Ohrid Lake we get ready to continue by bike for around 20 km until we reach our hotel in center of Pogradec city.
Overnight in Pogradec
Highlights: Ohrid Lake , Bike Tour , Pogradec.
Day 7 Pogradec – Korca- Farma Sotira – Bike tour
Breakfast, continue further to the South of Albania , after 40 minutes we reach the cultural capital of Albania , Korca. Explore the city and it’s famous Old Bazaar. Bike tour until we reach our accommodation ‘Farma Sotira’ . The colours of the nature will accompany and amaze us.
Highlights: Korca, Bike Tour, Shelegur – Germenj natural reserve.
Day 8 Farma Sotira – Permet – Thermal Waters
After a traditional breakfast our day will continue with more cycling activity as we get closer to Vjosa River and Permet.
Once we arrive in Permet we will relax at natural Thermal Waters.
Traditional dinner with typical dishes of South Albania.
Overnight in Permet
Highlights: Cycling, Thermal Waters.
Day 9 Rafting in Vjosa River – Gjirokaster
Rafting for around 2 hours in the last wild river of Europe, Vjosa River. Enjoy the adrenaline and also the beautiful scenery while you pass through canyons etc.
Transfer to Gjirokaster ,traditional dinner at Old Bazaar.
Overnight in Gjirokaster.
Highlights: Rafting in Vjosa River, Vjosa Valley , Gjirokaster.
Day 10 Gjirokaster – Tirana
Transfer to Tirana, free time to explore the city or buy some souvenirs.
Festive dinner to celebrate the tour.
Overnight in Tirana
Day 11 Tirana – Airport
Transfer to Airport, end of tour.
